Are you scared? No? How about after you read this…

Published by roberti under Business, Motivation Edit This

I’ve got some pet peeves about our line of business. Yup, I sure do and I think you’ll share some of my sentiments too once you hear what I’m about to share with you.

First, let me say that I totally believe that ANYBODY can create for themselves what they really set their sights on having. If it’s a successful web site, a fast car, a big house, the perfect relationship, you name it, if you want it bad enough you can have it.

Find out more about it all here:

http://tinyurl.com/y932pk8

So pet peeve number one for me is that so many in our business try to sell you on the idea that all you need is a new gizmo, a bigger web site, or a smarter marketing plan and you’ll get what you want. Really?

How has that worked out for those who spend hundreds of millions of dollars each year on such programs, products, tools, and strategies?

When you look around, the people who DO get rich use those tools, but the part you never hear about is that the tools are the SMALLEST part of the whole process! Why doesn’t anybody (aside from me) tell you this?

Why do they keep pitching you more and more tools and never let you in on the biggest secret in our industry that the tools alone will get you NOTHING in return if you don’t have the vision and the passion to make them do their magic?

Pet peeve number two for me is watching the many people in my network putter around with so many tools and never see a dime from any of their investment of time and money.

I wish I could get to these folks first and let them in on the world’s biggest scam, but alas, I’m the one they call after they’ve tried everything and found none of it to work for them!

My vision for you is rather simple. I will help you uncover the one thing that will work for you, then, and only then, will I tell you which tools and marketing strategies you need to pull it off and live prosperously from this point forward.

I’ve studied this for decades and I know what it really takes to make a business grow fast and furiously, and it’s so simple and yet so powerful that when you hear it, you may actually dismiss it because it just sounds so easy!

Hey, I know, I did too the first few years. That is until I literally got fed up of buying program after program and still ending up with nothing to show for it all!

I am, and will always be the guy who gives you the truth behind the hype. I’ve been doing that for decades with my clients on just about every new idea, tool, and gizmo to hit the market.

My job is to separate the hype from the facts for my clients and I’ve become a trusted source of information in that regard.

My clients know that I’m not afraid of telling them what I really think and I’ve literally saved my clients millions of dollars they would have otherwise burned on stuff that just wouldn’t work for them.

Finally, my last pet peeve is that my phone rings week after week with people who are on their last dime and want me to give them a miracle formula that will erase all their bad decisions and put them on the road to success and happiness by 9am tomorrow morning!

I hope that you’re one of the smart ones who picks up the phone and calls me now, before you’re down to your last dime and in need of a miracle. I can indeed do some amazing things for you, and if you come to me now, I’ll make sure you get on the right track doing things that make sense, and that you’ll invest your money in things that will actually work for you.

Most every one of my coaching clients (numbers into the thousands now) will tell you that working with me was the best investment they’ve made for themselves because of the wide-ranging, very deep work that I do with them.

Find out more about it all here:

http://tinyurl.com/y932pk8

You don’t have to suffer. You can indeed build a business that supports your lifestyle, and it doesn’t have to kill you in the process. It can be fun (and it should be fun) and it can be
rewarding at levels you’ve yet to imagine.

Come on, let’s play together and I’ll show you exactly what I mean!

Oh, and I am now offering a complimentary “get to know each other” coaching session. Grab that since it costs you nothing!

Social Marketing Secrets You Should Know About

Published by roberti under Marketing Edit This

I was having a conversation this week with a client, whom I really love working with, about social media and an interesting point came up in our coaching session.

She mentioned that she had heard a lot about what to do on these social networking sites like Facebook, Linkedin, Twitter, and others, but not once was she taught what to say and how to say it to the people she was connecting with!

She had a point. And I’ve seen most people go about the connecting thing all wrong, and in fact, sometimes they mess it up so bad that I simply delete their requests!

First, you’ve got to understand that your connecting to another human being on the other side of all the technology. You’ve got to understand that these people have thoughts, feelings, and emotions just like you. Continue Reading »

Where’s YOUR Money?

Published by roberti under Motivation Edit This

I’d like to invite you to join me for a very special live event taking place here in San Diego this October where I will be sharing the answers to some very important questions.

For instance, money is a troubling issue for many people. It’s an issue that robs you of your life experience, your health, your relationships, and it can destroy your self-esteem.

In my book, it’s the issue to solve if you want to live a full and exciting life. But finding a new business idea or new marketing strategy is rarely the solution.

I know, if you just had more income, you’d be fine. But would you really? Or would it just be more of the same with more zeros to the left of the decimal point?

Listen, I could give you dozens and dozens of ways to bring in some extra bucks today doing so little work it would seem almost illegal to do.

I’m not at all depressed today..

Published by roberti under Motivation Edit This

I’m excited about everything I’m seeing going on out there in our world. Truly this has become a time for change, and it’s a great
time to be alive.

Yes, I know things look really bleak when you listen to the news. I know corruption is at an all-time high, and I know tempers are
running much higher than at any time in my memory.

So why am I excited?

Think about this for a moment.

When you want to change something, say changing water into steam, the temperature of the water has to rise. It will rise the most
violently just before it makes its transition into steam.

What’s happening in our world today is that the temperature is rising and we’re rapidly approaching a point in time when things will change in dramatic and incredible ways.

I believe our world will be a very different place, our country one we may no longer recognize, and you and I will also undergo some profound changes in the way in which we view and live our lives.

Between now and that time, things will have a tendency to look and feel a little rocky at times. Try to keep your eyes focused on what’s coming. Think about how you want your life to be, and what you’re no longer willing to settle for.

Perhaps you’ll come to same conclusions I have in seeing all this turmoil, corruption, dishonesty, and anger as the sign that things are about to shift in a profound way taking our world to a new level - one in which it has never gone to at any time in history.

Don’t make the mistake of sitting around though, and waiting until the changes happen. Now is a great time to consider what you’re
doing and make changes so that when things turn around you’ll be a a new and better position to make the most of what’s coming.

I’ve been coaching so many of my clients this past month on just this topic. The interesting thing is that the signs are everywhere that big change is on the way, and that as things heat up, it’s just one more sign that we’re getting closer to reaching a new level.

Remember too, that it’s always darkest before the dawn. Things always seem to the most difficult just before they calm down.

This is where we are, and if you’ll join me in looking forward, you too will see that things are not at all as bad as they are being portrayed in the media.

There are people right now who are making massive changes in their lives, finding happiness, and putting the first solid bricks into their foundation of success.

Right now, I too am working hard at re-designing my business, what I offer, the messages that I share, and who I market to. It’s a big change that’s actually been in the works for some time and one that has just now begun to be revealed to the world.

I will be sharing more and more about the changes I’m going through and why I’m so darned excited about the future in upcoming e-mail messages.

In the meantime, if there is anything I can do to support your efforts, to help you to find your direction in life, please let me know.

Drop me an e-mail when you get a moment to update me on where you are and what you’re planning for the fall.

I have a ton of new resources and contacts and I’d be happy to share them with you if they can help you get what you want out of
life!

Here’s to a stellar end to a turbulent 2009!

Be outstanding!

The real secret to seminars is…

Published by roberti under Marketing Edit This

There is a secret in the seminar business that most never speak about, and many others simply have no knowledge about.

The secret has to do with where the greatest value is in any seminar. As a seminar leader, I’d like to think that what you walk out of the room with had everything to do with me, but I’d be inaccuate.

The truth is that in any given seminar, Continue Reading »

5 Mistakes Business Owners Make with Social Networking and How to Avoid Them

Published by roberti under Marketing Edit This

It’s all the rage. People the world over have accounts on Facebook, Twitter, Myspace, and other social networks. So it stands to reason that business owners too are flocking to these sites in search of free advertising and a way to reach large numbers of people with their marketing message. But most every business is making the same old mistakes that have given them a bad name ever since the online world came into existence.

If your business is making any of these mistakes, stop it because it’s costing you more than a few lost sales - it could well be damaging your company’s reputation!

Here are the top 5 social media marketing mistakes and ways to avoid them too!

Mistake #1: Missing the Point of “Social”

People come to social networks and the chat rooms and usenet groups that preceded them NOT to be marketed and sold, but to SOCIALIZE, meet new people, make new friends, and maybe even learn something new.

So when a business plows into any social network and leads off with a full-power marketing message, users tune out. As in all things, it’s better to build a relationship before you make your sales pitch.

Worse, when a business leads off any relationship on a social networking web site with advertising, they will lose friends and followers, and those that remain will likely tune out future messages.

This is by far the biggest complaint you’ll hear from those who love social networking web sites. As a business, you’ve got to first build relationships, then provide value, and literally allow your friends and followers to ask you about what you have for sale.

While it sounds like this would never work in the real world, you’d be surprised to find out just how powerful and how effective it can be to sell to people who really do consider your business to be a friend.

Mistake #2:  Not correctly setting up their profiles

Have you ever been asked to be a “friend” or to follow somebody on a social web site and when you go have a look at their profile, there’s no photo, no information, and few people are even following them?

This is a key point for you as a business owner, especially in today’s market where “hiding behind your e-mail” just doesn’t cut it.

Your customers want to know all they can about you, about your company, and about the products you offer. They will get very jittery when the basic information they would expect to find on your social networking profile is nowhere to be found.

Mistake #3: No Activity/Postings

What have you been up to? What’s new with your business? There are literally thousands of things you could be posting to your social networking pages, so why then do so many businesses fail to have any meaningful postings on their pages?

When I see this, I wonder why they even want to connect with me in the first place. The lack of updates or posts in their account suggests to me that they are not in this game to socialize. Maybe they just want to connect with me so that they can send me their marketing messages, yet provide nothing of real value in return.

In any event, I rarely, if ever, connect with any person or business that does not show signs of actually using their social networking account!

Mistake #4: Talking Over People Instead of To Them

You want people to respect you. In fact, you demand respect if you’re going to give your attention to anybody. Why would it be any different for those in your social network? It’s not. Yet far too many businesses simply use “drip marketing” and “broadcast marketing” techniques that are downright disrespectful to those they are hoping to do business with!

No, you don’t “drip” on people, you engage them, encourage them, motivate them, and inspire them to do business with you. This is the stuff great businesses are made of, and it’s also why some people have tens of thousands of friends while most others have very few.

Mistake #5: All Sell, No Value

In the early days of e-mail, a very common question was “how often can you send a sales letter to your mailing list?” The answer was illustrative. The thinking back then was that you could send out one sales piece for every 3 content pieces you’d send to your list, and nobody would really mind.

The same idea holds true in social networking. Give your followers real content, give them real value, and they won’t mind what you send them a promotional message now and again.

This is the best strategy I know of for creating a following of hungry buyers. It just won’t happen when all you can do is send one sales letter after another to the very people who make it possible for you to live the kind of life you want to live. Think about it.

Now get out there and make the most of your social marketing efforts!
